Why Worry? Be Joyful! A Study Through Philippians

Isaiah 60:1-4 reads, “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.”

As we face our daily lives we are constantly surrounded by darkness and negativity and are engaged in a very real battle for our mind. The Lord reveals some wonderful truths to us through the Apostle Paul in his Letter to the Philippian Church about how as Christians, through the transformation power of the Holy Spirit, we can rise above ourselves and experience the glorious Joy of the Lord through the renewing of our minds as we partner with Him day-by-day.

The Joy of the Lord is our strength, and that joy is the key of how we can endure as we grow in maturity. The joy of the Lord also serves as one of many facets in life where the Light of God shines through us as a beacon of hope in this dark and shaking world.

In this study we will discover four pillars of thought, or ways of thinking, that will change our perspective from one that is influenced in our soul and instead allow our spirit to mature as we learn how to think and view life from a heavenly perspective. In doing so, we will experience God’s Love and Glory in greater depths than ever before.
